In this role, I worked in the Midstream Operations group for XTO Energy in the Barnett Area. My responsibilities involved analyzing the many different aspects of operations in the Barnett area and formulating solutions that would yield cost savings. One project I worked on involved generating a database of all the small gas-lift compressors in the Barnett area to identify oversized units and determine what modifications could be made to reduce costs. Using the database, I was able to come up with solutions that enabled approximately 26,000 dollars of cost savings annually. In addition to this project, I also worked on economic evaluations of other future compressor projects and showcased the results to leaders within the Barnett area. Through this role I gained further experience with project economics, P&IDs, compressor & engine operating principles and excel data analysis.
